What are Beliefs?
What is the difference between a fact and a belief? I'm sure there is a hard and fast definition to both of these words. For the purpose of this discussion... let's just say that facts are usually accepted as the bottom line... not based on opinion, yet provable by some objective measure. For example, it is a fact that 12 inches equals 1 foot. We can measure it with a ruler. A belief would be something like this, "Relationships are hard work". The thing about beliefs is that they are the foundation upon which we build our expectations. Most of us need expectations to help us feel secure. We feel safer when we can guess what is coming next. We feel like we can prepare for the worst if we need to. However, we are learning that these expectations are actually manifesting what we do NOT want to happen. Remember how the unconscious mind ignores those negative terms... not... can't... won't... don't, etc. That's right, so when we are thinking... "I hope I don't run out of money again this month." Our unconscious mind hears an intention of "I hope I run out of money again this month." This puts the opposite energy into your mind and into the universe and you manifest it with your own intentions. Just imagine how your life will change when you get these communications straightened out and you are believing and setting intention only for what you truly intend for your life.
How are beliefs formed? Many of our beliefs are simply conclusions we have drawn based on our experiences as children. If we grow up in a warm, nurturing and supportive family we will have very different beliefs than if we grow up in a painful, shaming and abusive family. It is important to remember that we are clearing beliefs on Four Levels. This means that you may have beliefs held in your unconscious mind stemming from your parents, or grandparents or from past lives. So it is possible to have worked through many issues pertaining to THIS life, and still have some pretty detrimental beliefs playing a big part in your decisions you make each day. One thing that is constant is that at the time we chose any belief, no matter what that belief may be, it made sense at the time. Therefore, no belief is stupid, or bad, or even wrong. Beliefs serve a purpose and sometimes our lives change so much that old beliefs become a mismatch for our lives as they change. Beliefs we hold as children don't always serve us well as adults. As children we may truly believe that credit cards are magic money. It makes sense at the time to believe such a thing. As adults this belief is out dated and detrimental to creating the kind of life we really want. Most of us have probably worked through beliefs like this one. Other beliefs are much more subtle than this and lay beneath more obvious ones. Let's say you did believe that credit cards were magic money, as a child and now as an adult you have a continual problem with being in debt. We might then look for a belief about fear of responsibility. Something like, "Responsible people are boring." and under that might be "Boring people are lonely." We would then clear the belief that boring people are lonely and that would like give you the freedom to begin being more responsible. You would then begin noticing yourself make wiser choices about paying bills, spending your money more wisely and so on. A good way to think of beliefs is like a house of cards. Often beliefs are layered. If we can get to the very bottom one or two, we can clear many related ones all at once. Ok.. let's get busy and have some fun! I am organizing these beliefs into various areas or clusters so you can see layers more easily, as well as, keep focused in certain areas which may be of interest to you.
Four Levels of Beliefs It is in the understanding and working with the four levels of 'Programming' or beliefs that this work differs from most any other growth work with which we are familiar. The reason that we call them 'Programs' is that these 'energy bundles' are within our DNA for one purpose. These energetic programs are always at work to create the perceptions of our life experiences that is the source of what is called our 'personal reality '. Our DNA contains not only all of the physical characteristics of our body. Within the non-physical magnetic and spiritual energy strands are coded all information and programs that result in the unique piece of Creator that we are. The programs are the portions of this coding that are actively involved in many activities that shape our perception of the experiences of our life. These programs develop from beliefs, attitudes, oaths, vows and traumas. In general we call these our 'programs' or beliefs. We are working to clear unwanted beliefs and replace them with beliefs that will work better for you, on four levels. This is one of the key elements that makes this work so effective. The 4 Levels: 1. Core: All of the beliefs developed during this life from Conception to now. This is the area that is accessed or worked with when one engages in any type of traditional therapy or growth work. 2. Genetic: This is all the gifts and the "baggage" handed down to you for seven generations. This may include oaths, vows, blessings or curses that were placed upon your family line. 3. History: This level includes oaths, vows, karmic contracts, trauma, lessons learned and so on by the Soul that is you. This includes past lives you have actually lived, in a human body, as well as in a spiritual "body". We may have witnessed and absorbed issues between lifetimes as we worked as guardian angels and spirit guides to others. It is also on this level where we bring in soul fragments we may have left with others for various reasons. You do not need to believe in past lives or reincarnation for these techniques to be effective. 4. Soul: This is the level where the eternal "you" resides. This is the part of you who continues on after the human body dies. Beliefs can even be stored on this level.
